The capital of the State kicked off the 10th edition of the Pravasi Bharatiya (Kerala) Divas on 9th January 2012.
The Kerala State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) is all set to pilot state-of-the-art electronic toilets in the capital city, exclusively for women. A first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, this project includes installation of customised e-toilets – christened ‘She-toilets’.
KSWDC's State Level Programme providing Micro Finance to Self Help Groups will distribute an amount of Rs. 1 Crore among 39 proactive self help groups to enhance and ensure effective functioning of micro credit schemes.

KSWDC's video tour cum campaign with the renowned performer and activist Dr. Mallika Sarabhai would bring out 20 women gender experts from the state. The programme will reach 40 Women's colleges contacting 10,000 students.
