Gender Awareness Campaign

Our society is made up of people with wide range of ideas, orientations, customs and traditions. Among these ideas, differing ideas about gender has become the present concern of the world. Various measures at International, National and state levels are underway for tackling gender related issues.
Kerala which ranks high based on various women specific development indicators in respect of Health, Education, Employment, Political participation and Decision Making as per the statistical profile  of women on the National Census of 2000, has taken this Gender related issues optimistically. KSWDC has been entrusted to take up the task to bring gender equality in the state. Infact, KSWDC redefined the whole perception of gender equality with regard to its approach and awareness programmes, both for males and females. KSWDC has specified its target areas, made its schemes and programmes to achieve its  objective. As the objective of KSWDC is long term, all the steps and programmes are made with a prudent foresight . Some of the tools to facilitate the mission are:-
