MoU between WDC n NIIT

KSWDC is beginning a new era in terms of Women Empowerment & Gender Equality. It believes that the position of women has become prominent at present than ever before. Keeping this in mind KSWDC has launched various programmes.

In this Modernised and Tech-Savy world, KSWDC is tuning up women to meet the advancing tracks of the world. And the recent MoU signed between KSWDC and NIIT is one such step towards the manifestation of its vision. The tie-up will facilitate empowerment in terms of technology and non-technology skills including competence development process.

An agreement to this effect was signed on 31 Jan 2011 between Mr. PTM Sunish, Managing Director KSWDC and Mr. Manish Mohan, Senior Vice- President, NIIT in the presence of Ms. P.K. Sreemathi, Minister for Health & Social Welfare.

The NIIT post graduate diploma is of six month’s duration& is comprised of three months of full-time class room work followed by three months of internship session. The agreement aims at creation of sustainable action plan for mapping competencies of women belonging to financially weaker sections. It offers 100% assurance with a provisional appointment letter issued at the time of enrolment.
